>Walker, W2WJO: Please post your experience with the RigBlaster. It looked
>like a very nice box but the company refused to discuss using it with a Mac
>and I was having a hard time figuring out how to key my TS-570D(G).

I use one with my Icom 735. The only interfacing issue with the Mac
is that if you want to use DTR to control PTT, you need to change a
resistor in the RigBlaster, they assume +/- 12V switching on the
RS232 lines. Of course if you use one of the USB/serial adapters that
gives you +/-12V outputs, then you're OK. Or you can switch PTT off
the audio and avoid dealing with it altogether.

Various cables are available from them for most major rigs, you can
also make your own by taking a look at the keying requirements for
your radio, the manual usually has the required information.

>I purchased the Tigertronics SignaLink SL-1+ and it has been doing a great
>job and the interface was easy. The neat feature is their unique Auto-PTT
>that detects audio coming from the computer and does the PTT for you. It
>worked great and I have enjoyed some PSK31 QSO's; however, RTTY is still my
>favorite mode.

The RigBlaster also has this feature; it works well.
