I am thrilled with this logging program.
I have had MacLoggerDX since it first came out and have upgraded at
every new release. I use MacLoggerDX mostly when I work as a net
control station for various maritime nets including the Maritime Mobile
Service Net and the Pacific Seafarers Net.
Recently, while trying to make some space on my hard disk I threw out
my collection of all of the older updates and kept only the most
recent. Much to my chagrin the data.log file was in my original
installation folder. I had thrown the baby out with the wash. I lost
over 2000 log items from all over the world. Some may have been
important as the last known position of an overdue vessel.
I have been around long enough to know to back-up important files, but
OSX had lulled me into a false sense of security. I now have my data
file in the documents folder where it should have been in the first
place.
This message is for those who may have their data file in an equally
precarious place and a suggestion to Don that the program default to
the document folder for the data file until it is changed by the user.
This could help some of us from making foolish mistakes.
Thanks for a great program.
