[Ham-Mac] Let's change the subject

I have my permanent residence in NJ, where I have a G4/867.
I have another place in MD, where I intend to put a 1 gHz iMac.

Sooooooo, I'm thinking about getting a firewire drive, where I might
put ALL my software and stuff (and remove it from the G4?), and
sneakernet it back and forth. Or dupe it on the f/w drive, and still
leave it on the G4, or just install it on both HDs.

BUT, my software is all legal and paid for, so I guess I can put it
on both computers legally.

I suppose I can set up some remote access file sharing system, too,
but that might open up my firewall to attack, so maybe that isn't the
way to go.

What do you guys think?

BTW, I PURCHASE software I intend to use. I appreciate evaluation
periods and crippled software as well.

Mac developers are to be encouraged, thanked and, yes, revered. Not
screwed. And I've never written a line of code.

thanks for your opinions.
