Greg,
I have run a LOT of logging and contesting programs on Virtual PC thru
Mac OS X... so far have not had a lot of success. Even tried FTBASIC,
the memory programming application for Yaesu radios - it definitely
does NOT work, due to "flaws" known by the author of FTBASIC that they
have not been able to get around. Tried Prolog, DXLab, NA, a bunch of
others I don't even remember... all, besides being so darn Windows
clunky compared to MacLoggerDX or any Mac software for that matter, had
some sort of glitch under Virtual PC, especially once getting into rig
control or even frequency feedback.
Have ripped out and reinstalled Virtual PC off my Mac many times in
frustration, but when I find these same programs work just as crummy on
a new Sony Vaio laptop running Windows XP, I figure maybe its not just
Virtual PC. So I am about to reinstall Virtual PC to try running some
Windows contesting software I REALLY LIKED, even running smooth and
fast on the Windows laptop. Its an assortment of contesting apps you
can find at http://n3fjp.ky1v.com - bunch of different modules, but
together seem to just be known as N3FJP's Amateur Radio Software... if
this works under Virtual PC I'll be very happy...
good luck
