I suspect that many of us are waiting to see whether, and when, to 
upgrade to Panther.  I'm running 10.2.8.  So far I don't know why I 
should upgrade; but I know two reasons why I should not: (1) it costs 
money; and (2) it might break some of my presently working 
applications & device drivers.

Perhaps you and others could educate us?
