Dave,

May I ask why ARRL elects to support Windows and Unix, but not Macintosh?
Does ARRL have any idea how many of its members use Macs, or would prefer to
use Macs, to support their hobby interests?

In my case, I own both Macs and a PC. I own the latter simply to run a few
programs that aren't available for the Mac, but my strong preference is to
use my Macs whenever I have a choice. My two Macs, a G3 PowerBook and G4
PowerMac, are currently running OS 10.2.6. Both are remarkably solid
performers, and behave so much better than my Windows-98 Dell laptop.

If ARRL wants its members probing the leading edges of digital technologies,
Apple's Unix-based OS X operating system and its powerful and elegant
Cocoa-based rapid development frameworks should not be ignored.
