I had it compiled with an earlier version, and it seems to include an
obsolete getopt.h header file, which is now covered by the unistd.h
file. I just commented out all of the #include <getopt.h> lines from
the .cpp files, and it worked.
However, I haven't tried with the latest version. Interestingly
enough, I couldn't find any source release for the new library on
sourceforge, I just pulled the source from the CVS tree to look at it.
I sent a note with my dissatisfaction to the ARRL, and I knew they
wouldn't care. They didn't. <sigh> I still think it's awful that
membership dues would pay developers for the Windows and Linux
platforms and yet they expect Mac developers to do it for free.
Yes, with the info that is out there, it can be done, and probably not
too much work. And, for the betterment of the Mac community, it will be
done by some developer. It just sucks that life is slanted this way
some times... The bad guys win again. Just because you might get what
you want doesn't make it right... :-(
