I used to have a Tono Theta 777.  Damn good unit.  I never tried to 
interface it to a G4 as I used to have it connected to my CP/M machine. :)

 From memory it required serial access at 1200 baud.  On a G4 you will 
need a serial port, probably a Keyspan USB device or similar (I've used 
Xastir with the Keyspan on my G3 under MacOS X and it worked very well).

You will also need a serial comms program.  A quick google search found 
that Dave Alverson, the author of ZTerm, a classic Mac app (in all 
senses of the word!) has a beta version out for MacOS X and MacOS 8/9. 
It's probably the best serial comms package for the mac around.
