I am sending the following to both the ICOM and Ham-Mac groups:
I am using an IC-756ProII and have been attempting to connect it up
with a Tigertronics SL 1+ unit and using multimode on an Apple G5,
iwth an 8 pin DIN cable to the accessory socket #1 on the Icom
I have it all together and the I believe that the jumpers on the JP1
are correct, as to the ground, PTT and power. I have a problem with
the Mic jumper which I have connected to pin 4 on the Icom which is
the so-called MOD input.
When I try to TX with the MultiMode I get the PTT light on in the
SL-1+ unit but have no output power from the radio. In the
troubleshooting section of the SL-1+ manual it says that when this
happens that the jumpers are wired incorrectly. If it is I don't know
where the MIC should be wired as to the ICOM. Also, the screen shows
a signal both in PSK and CW when it is keyed, but I have no power
out. I have the sound output on full in preferences.
Any IC756ProII owners out there that have the Tigertronics SL 1+ unit
that can tell me what I am doing wrong??
