Would either of these app's, or another app. that you (or anyone else
on this excellent list) recommend(s), be good for (1) _finding_
invisible files and/or folders on my disk, and then (2) making them
visible?

Although normally I run OS X (currently v. 10.2.8), Classic is OK;
and, if necessary, my Mac can boot OS 9.2.2.

I'm sure that it's possible to search for and find invisible files,
and to make them visible, using nothing more than OS X, perhaps in
"Terminal" (Unix command-line mode). However, I don't know how and I
haven't been able to find instructions in either the OS X built-in
Help or at info.apple.com. Is there a URL or a book that a clueless
dummy like me might understand?
