One last observation with EchoMac and Panther, even with the input 
level on the Mac sound control panel right up at maximum, the audio 
level going out on Transmit appears too low with either the internal G4 
iMac mic or the iSight. I am not certain, but I don't think I noticed 
this with Jaguar.
