Some further tests here this morning with 10.3.1 and G4 iMac:
I made a new Mac 'user' and logged in to that account and tried EchoMac
again with the iSight and it worked on the *echotest*, no errors.
I logged back in to my usual account and the portaudio error is back
again.
So, it must be something specific to my user account, I have turned off
all Application Enhancers, but no difference.
Now I am messing about removing various things to see what is causing
this, I'll let you know what I find.
