That is good news, indeed. I have an old version of MaxSea that I still
run occasionally to check something on a chart. What I really need is
an OSX chart reader that will read Outdoor Navigator format charts (for
the Palm) and other Maptech formats. Maybe you could pass along that
request to the MaxSea developers.
Keep me posted on this; navigation software is a big hole in the Mac
library, and there are, after all, six million of us. I'll make sure
such software gets some ink in Chesapeake Bay Magazine, Offshore
Magazine when it comes out. Both publications are written and published
entirely on Macs, as is Waterway Guide.
Sorry if this seems slightly OT for this group, but there are quite a
few Mac-using sailor/hams.
