Although I can use vxu to get the data out of my VX-5, is there any OS 
X software that lets you work with that data like you can with Eve on 
the PC? This would let me program my handheld without resorting to a PC.

I've wondered if it would be possible to build a system where vxu was 
used to actually move data in and out of the radio, and a web interface 
to an SQL database was used to update that data. This would use the PHP 
and Apache and MySQL (for example), all of which run under OS X.
