Hi Mike

I work at Apple Canada and get to see and use a lot of different
software. Don's MacDopper Pro and MacLogger are shining examples of A1
Macintosh programming. I don't think I have ever communicated with a
developer who is more interested in making sure he follows Apple
Guidelines and well as incorporating user requested features, and he
does this quickly!

The upgrade cost is a small amount in my option. Especially when you
consider the quality of the software.
With OS X, and I know Don must biting at the bit to take better
advantage of all the Mac OS X technologies, it is reasonable at some
stage to re-architect old application to allow for future growth.

I also disagree with your comment that Macintoshes are more expensive.
Yes you can built you own Intel PC but I don't think this is a fair
comparison. We compete with all name brand on price and features. If
you dig a little deeper into the features and quality of the product I
think you will find the opposite is true.

I work servicing the University and College market I can tell you that
those who do perform the careful comparison shop know we are very
competitive on price, performance and features.

From customer at University of Waterloo - "I am really happy with how
things are are happening these days. I feel strange saying that a
machine that costs almost 4 grand is a good deal, but these dual G5s
are amazing and a great deal. For fun I speced a dual xeon dell the
other day, and it cost more (and did not have as fast of a bus or be 64
bit, firewire etc...). I am looking forward to seeing what impact 10.3
has on the G5s, especially once everyone starts updating the software
to benefit from MP and 64 bit."

I have more of these but this isn't the place.

Anyway count me in Don. I use Don software as example of excellent
Macintosh applications to Electrical and Radio Engineers at the
Universities in my area. I am sure he didn't plan on that use :-)

Mike I am sure you like getting paid for the work you do. I know I do.
I am sure Don deserves same consideration
