Hi John,
I have run an LCIII, a IIci, a PowerMac 6500 and a PowerBook 3400 on
Cable/ADSL with no problems. As far as the computer is concerned, it=B9s on a
LAN, so anything that=B9ll connect to a network will work.
The providers tell you a higher spec because a) they want you to use their
install CD bloatware and it requires gobs of horsepower and memory and b)
they want to standardize their support options.
You won=B9t need a) and b) is irrelevant as their response to any problem you
may have with their service is going to be =B3We=B9re sorry, all our agents are
