I ended up with an old Yaesu YH-2 headset into a 10X gain amp. using an
LF356 op amp running off a 9V battery then into the "line/mic" input on
my iMac. The battery also provides bias for the electret mic element.

I've only had a couple of QSOs, but no reports of breaking up audio
using my "56K" connection which always connects at 28.8K. I've heard
lots of stations which do have the breaking up audio problem over the
local repeater, usually on dial up connections.

In Indianapolis, there is a full time link to the 146.88 repeater.
Connect to W9EEJ-R.
