The latest version of Panorama, 4.0.1, is almost a year old now.
There have been a number of changes in the Mac OS, especially OS X,
in that time. Have they sent you any updates to ensure compatibility
with the newer versions of the Mac OS?

I give Apple a lot of credit for bending over backwards to repair
what is surely a software problem.

Are you on the Panorama QNA list? If you think Panorama is the source
of the problem, have you discussed this issue with Panorama tech
support?

I don't use Panorama, but in working in computer service, I can tell
you that we are dealing with many, many software compatibility issues
with Mac OS 9 and X. Things that run correctly in Mac OS 9 may fail
in imaginative ways when run in Classic.

Mac OS X uses many, many invisible files as part of the system, and
the invisibility is accomplished in many new ways that weren't used
in Mac OS 9. Files that should be invisible in Mac OS X are sometimes
visible in Mac OS 9, and users have been known to unknowingly trash
them without knowing what they are.

I would suggest going to Panorama Tech Support to see if they have
any other users having similar problems. You might also ask them if
they have any plans for a native Mac OS X version of their software.
