Haven't run into anything special. Only need to make sure that the
serial tool is set to use DTR&CTS. (In the "Communications" section of
the software)
The other settings for the KAM used here are:
Baud = 9600
Parity = None
Data bits = 8
Stop bits = 1
The KAM- XL can communicate at higher speeds.
The largest difficulty we find that users encounter is that the TNC has
been set to use some settings in the past but the user forgets what
those were. So it is difficult to communicate with the TNC. The best
method to solve that is to do a hard reset on the TNC which requires
removing from the case. Once that is done then start the software in
terminal mode, go to the communications section and set the serial
tool. Then turn on the TNC and one will see the autobaud routine which
will set the params in the TNC correctly.
Not a problem with a new TNC of course.
