In general, RS-244 can be used with the RS-232 devices by connecting it 
as if it were unbalanced.  There is a voltage level difference, but most 
devices have a wide range of voltages that they will accept.  Wiring 
diagrams, usually for connection of a modem, can be found in older 
Macintosh reference books that cover Mac Plus and later.
