[Ham-Linux] Problem with fldigi on Ubuntu 11.4

I'd say Ubuntu cleaned too well removing the USB transmit driver that 
fldigi needs. You might have to install a previous Ubuntu version and 
fldigi that works, then upgrade and not allow that search/delete of 
"unused" software. Perhaps a comparison of the two installations will 
show which was cleaned too well.
