   I understand, as an uninterested observer, that M$ requires "special hardware" be used 
with vista or they won't certify it as vista ready, all part of their campaign to require 
everyone to by more M$ products, which they never sell, they only `lease' (allow to use) 
to customers.
   All hardware for vista will work fine under LINUX if a driver for that particular item 
is written.  IF anyone cares to bother.  I'll guess LINUX can be put on any Acer that came 
with XP, which is not so inflected.  I know LINUX will work on my Asus PC100HE, as there 
is a LINUX version.  (that comes with a SS drive instead of the 160 G HD I have)
