[Ham-Linux] VMWare able to access external hardware?

Hi,

Running OpenSuSE 10.2 here.. On 10.2 I have VMWare installed so that I
can have Windows XP running to run the last Windows package I require.

What I would like to know if if I create another WinXP virtual machine
and then connect my TNC's et al to the PC, has anyone successfully
controlled/communicated with a TNC using Windows XP on a Virtual machine
on Linux?
