[Ham-Linux] A distro for n00b

Since a lot of recommendations are offshoots of Debian, why not give
Debian a try? The new GUI installer for version 4.0 (Etch) is well
done (type installgui at the Boot: prompt) and walks the admin through
installation including selection of a task oriented install (i.e.
Desktop, Laptop, Server, etc.).

I have been running Debian for almost 8 years. I've tried other
distributions, but Debian remains on my hard drives.
