I tried a search for "unable to locate RSDP" error
and found this page:

it talks about:
ACPI: Advanced Configuration and Power Interface
RSDP: Root System Description Pointer

you might read that page and it's thread and see if there is any help for you 
there. (it starts out about Fedora but then switches to Ubuntu)
