Because Hams are mostly just like other people, fearful of change
in areas they do not understand.

If we introduce them to a Linux distro that is small and simple
and that gets them something Windows does not then we are more
likely to see movement.

I came upon Puppy Linux a couple of weeks ago and I think it,
or something like it, is the answer.  It is free, small, simple
to operate and understand with a good base of folks making it
work.

It allows cheap Hams to use their old PC's and should readily
run all of the apps Hams need.  One neat thing is that it will
run off a CD or mini-CD or memory card or USB memory stick, etc.
making it highly portable.

I am trying to find the time to set up a Ham site with Puppy
and a bunch of Ham apps.
