[Ham-Linux] Software for the Yaesu VX-7R

Hi Everyone,

I just picked up a VX-7R. It's a decent little radio. The only problem 
I'm having is finding software to program it from linux, since I don't
have a windows machine, and would like to avoid one if possible.

Anyone know where some software for doing this might be?

Alternatively, does anyone know how similar to the other Yaesu radios
the clone mode on these is? If it's not too different, or even the
same, I could use vxu for this, or possibly modify vxu.

Any help or pointers is appreciated.
