Well IE 4,5.0,5.5 should display PNG ok.  they did eve get gama correction 
working.  transparency should work fine.  The high color does not work with 
every thing.

PNG is not just a replacement for gif's it a replacement for TIFF, BMP, and 
other lossless formats.  You can have a 48bpp PNG that is smaller than a 
24bpp tiff.  It also has built in gama correction, so no more pc/mac/X term 
color problems.

Now if hams could only have open standerds.
