Tks for the reply and info and no, the video car is not using 512 of the 
memory.

I keep forgetting that computers are female and us guys will never, ever 
understand them!

Dell's web site is useless because the machine is too old. . . .

My girl friend has the same machine and when she brings hers over I will try 
the ram in her machine. . . .

so far have not found any help on the web. . . .

Guess it is time to dump MS and go LINUX!!!!
