[Ham-Computers] Converting VHS Video To DVD Format - on a laptop?

I'll not give or send the software.... but, there is clandestine software
that one can 'acquire' that will allow one to 'copy' ANY encrypted video -
be it VHS or DVD - to your hard drive and then burn it to any media (DVD,
Flash Memory stick, etc., etc.  A full movie, as an example, requires a
4.7GB blank DVD-R disc.

usb video adapters are made.
They are a compromise, as I understand it.

Have you tried one of those dual-deck vhs to dvd machines?  They're cheap
and available everywhere.

if you're using linux, Devede is my choice to convert anything to a
ready-to-burn DVD.

Regardless, it would still be good to check the solution against your OS
in a search engine, just in case.  I have an audio to usb convertor that
*should* be os-independent but flat out refuses to work in linux.
