[Ham-Computers] Switching Between Two Routers; Need to reset?

Finally answered my own question.
After switching routers, I need to restart any computers currently
turned on, and restart the modem.
I bought a Linksys WRT54GL wireless router, on the basis of many
positive reviews on Amazon.com. Most routers have so-so reviews or
not enough reviews to form an opinion. It has four output ports plus
the wireless function. The "L" indicates the internal microprocessor
uses Linux, which allows some 3rd party software to be
used. Presumably, you can disable the wireless function, by going to
192.168.1.1 on your browser, selecting Wireless, then disable, but it
does not work on my router. The unit has two external antennas, and
I thought these antennas can be removed so gain antennas or external
antenna. The antennas don't seem to be removable. Gentle pulling
doesn't work, and I can twist in either direction without anything happening.
Other than that, it works fine, and I like the front panel display
better than my BEFSR41. They can be stacked on top of each other,
with feet that prevent the top unit from sliding off the bottom unit.
Here's a caution. If you have both, be sure to use the correct power
supply. The WRT54GL uses a 12V supply and the BEFSR41 a 9V supply.
