I got the replacement video sub-board for the Toshiba from
BobJohnson.com
The two most probable parts are these and the laptop is not
worth it!
Toshiba Tecra TE2100 14.1 inch LCD inverter board
$45.99
Toshiba Tecra TE2100 14.1 inch LCD screen
$79.99
I did get an error message when connected to the projector
about the cmos memory battery. I will disassemble the
laptop ... again ... and try replacing that.
I am thinking that if it is connected to AC (or the internal
battery is charged) and is powered on and off it should be
OK from boot to boot -- but perhaps a really dead cmos battery
can mess with things.
