On about 26th Oct 2009 Yahoo closed the GeoCities web-hosting service,
knocking many thousands of web sites off the Internet, many of them
going back to the mid-'90s.
Tehre were many Ham and SWL sites hosted by GeoCities, they have now all
gone to the "great bit-bucket in the sky".
GeoCities was where I first had the "Beaconeer's Lair" hosted before
making a couple of moves to other hosts (now on QSL.NET).
