[Ham-Computers] Remote desktop help needed

Forget remote desktop... I have used it but u have to open ports and stuff... Just use www.logmein.com the free version it is a lot better. No ports to open and it will work with any firewall.

Has anyone setup a remote desktop connection on their home network that 
could give me some help?
Machines are running XP.
ISP is Road Runner.
Using a LinkSys BEFSX41 router.
