Hi John,

Thank you for your thoughts OM.

I wonder what default format I would get from the left/right audio output 
from the Pioneer DVL-919 into the Sony ZA5 ES DAT deck?

Does anyone know?

What, if any, conversion of the default format will I need to do so that the 
audio recorded on the DAT tape is playable as a 'DAT' media?
