Just enable regular file sharing and share the folder. I've never had issues sharing a folder under Program Files.

Subject: [Ham-Computers] XP Folder Sharing
Eight years ago (more or less) I installed W2K over XP on my wife's machine
because I could not figure out how to make XP share certain folders, mainly
Program Files. So I could not do maintenance on programs shared among our
three machines all from my W2K machine. The problem has arisen again as I
need to be able to sync the email program's data files between my main
machine and the laptop which I use when I go out of town. I figured out a kluge
workaround but don't like it (too many steps and thus too many chances of
error plus it takes three times as long).
Does anyone know how to force XP to share either the Program Files folder
or a folder under it? The latter solution would be fine as only two folders
are actually involved.
