I won't go into the gruesome details but Microsoft apparantly has done
something to W2K such that it will no longer run some 16 bit DOS programs. Our
accounting program is one such. It still runs under XP but I don't have
time right now to do an OS change. I have an XP laptop but it only has USB
ports. Does anyone know of a way (hardware plus software I would presume) in
which to simulate both LPT-1 and LPT-2 through a USB port such that both the
software inside and the printers outside are happy? Right now, I cannot
print checks and can only print reports and invoices by printing them to file,
cleaning up the file, and then printing it to the LAN printer.
