[Ham-Computers] And I thought it was going to be easy~~

Phil,
"Take This Stick And Shove It", into the USB port, naturally! (LOL!)
Here the old blind dude sits with one HD of 80 Gig, and of that, 70 Gig is
not used!
Before I had to replace the 6.5 GiG HD on my Compaq 233 MHZ machine after
32,000 hours, I had only utilized about half of the available space! I
learned to program when a bit or byte meant something and conservation was
the rule. I still use software that I wrote in 1985 and 1986 that occupies
from 8K to 10K! Which includes a complete Income/ Expense program! The
software of the last decade seems to me to be bloated and generally poorly
written.
Software is released for sale with forty or eighty "known", or admitted to,
errors! This was absolutely unheard of in prior years. Then the companies
send out updates, upgrades, patches and so forth every week for the next two
years to repair the flaws! Why do we pay money for this?
As for Mr. Phil, he has so much stuff saved on HD unites that he could
connect a T1 line and become a local branch of the Library Of Congress! He
is truly quite an amazing human and someone I consider to be a very special
friend.
