IE and Firefox/Mozilla/Netscape (F/M/N) use different "plug-in" technologies. There is a different Flash player installer for both. For IE, Flash Player can be installed by going to the Flash Player download page and installing the ActiveX control. For F/M/N, you need to download the Flash Player installer and then run it as if it were a typical "installable" program - the installer will add a plug-in to F/M/N and also add support files to the \windows\system32\macromed folder (in Windows). I believe Opera uses the same plug-in as F/M/N, so one install should take care of all as long as the apps themselves are already installed.
BTW, these proceedures hold true for just about any plug-in - if you use more than one browser, make sure to update the plug-ins for each browser - one install may not cover all.

Sorry if this a duplicate, but don't think the original was sent Also included some grammar fixes. Still having a few problems when using Thunderbird.
Hi Aaron: I'm not sure about what you mean about visiting the web sites of both IE and Firefox when installing the Flash Player update. Did you mean "if you use IE *or* Firefox"? I used IE to download and install this link. It mentioned activX control was needed, and I gave permission. The update was downloaded and appeared to install ok. Just to be safe, I reinstalled it using Opera.. I want to pass this update info to a friend, so want to give correct info..
Thanks, Jim
