Well, another advantage of the much maligned (because you can't turn off 
html) Compuserve and AOL system.  I can see the sending address and subject line 
without opening the msg, and without downloading it, either.  Anything I 
recognize as trash I can just ignore or if I feel like bothering, delete it. The 
worst problem about spam on the Internet isn't the spam, it's all of the 
incompetently set up spam blockers.
