[Ham-Computers] Off Topic Head Cleaning Kit

Duane: I checked, and it's available from a number of vendors, but
what can I send that you can read? I can send the link, or I could
copy of the data via Irfanview to a Word document. After you select
one, can you add it to the cart, pay for it, etc.? A credit card is
needed. I could use your card, but you probably want to use somebody
you know personally. Maybe you could telephone and place your order.
Here's another disturbing fact. There's plenty of VHS tapes available
on Amazon.com. But new VCR's are no longer available, in stores or
on-line. You might find a local store that has a few remaining, but
I wasn't successful. I bought a refurbished Emerson via Amazon.com,
but the one I received had some faults including receiving a
different model than ordered (correct label on box, but wrong VCR
inside). I phoned for a RMA, and the person I spoke to said they are
selling large quantities and wondered why.
I'm presently trying out a DVD recorder, but it seems to be missing
some useful features any VCR has. You should figure out what to do
while your VCR's are working ok. In addition to the missing
features, DVD recorders have on-screen menus that would be awkward
for a blind person.
