One word of caution about the Norton Removal Tool. It doesn't just remove
Norton AV. It removes everthing to do with Norton or Symantec. We recently
shifted over to McAfee on our three machines here so I ran it (the remover) on
two of the machines. Can't run it on the third until I have time afterwards to
reinstall Norton Ghost, which the remover also removes.
Further, my take on freebies like this is not to go with them unless you
could in a pinch go out and buy a boxed copy of the same thing. (a) that means
the freebie is getting supported and (b) when (not if) someone else buys your
ISP, if they don't continue the offer and you don't want to shift to what they
give, you can stay with what you're using.
