[Ham-Computers] Viewing links in e-mail?

A friend nearly clicked on a phising site link in an e-mail this morning.

I use Outlook Express which shows a link in the lower toolbar when I hover
over a link.

My friend uses Microsoft Outlook in Windows XP Home Edition.  I do not see
anything indicating where she is about to go when she hovers over a link,
just  a finger shaped mouse pointer indicating the link can be clicked.  How
can this info be seen before clicking in the link?
