Yes, the way I presented it is a bit tedious, but it would get the job done in less keystrokes or button presses, so to speak. Highlight the text to change, change the attribute using a formatting button (or a control-key equivalent) and repeat for each word/phrase. Then do a global search and replace.
Older versions of Word had additional toolbar buttons and I believe one was for "All Caps". However, Word 2003 doesn't seem to have it or my often used "strikeout" font button - looks like they may only be available via the Format Font menu now. If the "All Caps" button were available, then it would just be as simple as highlighting each word/phrase and pressing the button. You'd need to add the button to the formatting toolbar first, but that's a simple process.
Alas, Phil was able to find a "simpler" and more "elegant" solution...two words that are definitely not in Microsoft's vocabulary!

That's a hard way to do it in WORD.
Just select what you want to change, go to Format, select Change Case, and
pick all caps (or whatever case you want).
