[Ham-Computers] Running a Windows 3.1 App on an XP Machine

Is it possible without too much effort to have a means of running a 
Windows 3.1 application on an XP computer?

I just came across a box containing Borland C+ programming 
language.  It must the professional or commercial edition, because 
there are plenty of instruction manuals and maybe 8 or 10 floppy 
disks.  There's one big problem - it's for Windows 3.1.

I'm trying to decide what to do with it, try it out (I took a C 
programming class years ago) or find someone else who might be 
interested in it.  It has never been used, and is too good to toss out.
