Hi All,
As most of you know I am totally blind. The Adobe software has never worked
with any of the screen reading programs. Then Adobe Acrobat Reader version
7.0 came along and claims were made that Adobe was now useable with the
screen reading programs.
Tonight in a moment of curious stupidity, I decided to try and load a .pdf
file somebody had sent to me.
I pressed CTRL Escape, then "P" for programs. Accessories came up. I down
arrowed once and there was "Adobe sub menu". The "A" on Adobe was
highlighted, so I pressed 'enter'. The same thing as you clicking the mouse.
Up came Adobe Reader Speed Launch. The "A" was highlited. I pressed 'enter'.
I got what seemed to be the Adobe program. I was able to navigate the menus.
I pressed ALT FNC 4 to close the program.
I located the .pdf file I wanted to load.
I went back to Programs, down arrowed once to Adobe sub menu, pressed
'enter'. Up came the Adobe Reader Speed Launch, I pressed 'enter' again. Up
came the "Start Menu". No Adobe!
The program is there, but I can not launch it. What happened and how do I
get Adobe to start?
Thanks.
