did you do any Windows updates recently?  Did you change your security
settings?  Do you use a firewall?  Any of these things can affect
scripting.

Btw, scripting is how we get most of the bugs and malware from the web.
It's amazing how clean computers stay when you turn it off in your
browser.

are you running Mozilla Firefox?  There's a setting in FF that will
actually do this (I don't run IE) by limiting javascript to only the
sites you specify.
