Group,
I've been using SpyWare Doctor for a while, and it seems to do a good job at
least initially without slowing down the machine to badly. However, I've
found fairly consistently that after about two days of running in the background
it starts doing bad things like not allowing you to enter a password to log
onto a web site. So in order to run it you must reboot the machine about every
other day. I'm trying to see whether the supplier knows of a fix for this and
a couple of other glitches.
But in the meantime (or as a fallback procedure if needed), has anyone any
experience with running the paid version of the current version of AdAware SE?
If so, how good a job does it seem to do and what does it do that it
shouldn't? I was under the impression that the intent or intended usage of AdAware was
somewhat different than anti-spyware but a recent email from them about the
latest version mentions its use against spyware more than adware.
