Many thanks for all the information provided by this group. I have 
learned quite a bit about the subject just by reading the notes. I still 
need to download a copy of the manual for my router and some other 
"router" general information. I have two ISP here. One is  DirecWay 
Satellite which I have had for several years. The other is a local 
wireless service that I recently added. I  move from one ISP to the 
other by swapping ethernet cables at the WAN port on the rear of the 
router and then "reset" using a bent paper clip through the small hole 
in the lower  rear of the router. From the info provided by this group 
that tells me that my router configuration is the "default" one. It also 
tells me that my configuration might not be the best as far as security 
is concerned. Again, I need to read more on the subject. I am on the 
right track and I appreciate all the help.
