[Ham-Computers] Yet another question!

I have been working on building a web site and I guess my "Dumb" side is
really starting to show!
With absolutely no experience in using HTML editors, i get lost quickly.
I have Front Page Express and was trying to use it when I found that the
help files leave a lot to be desired, so I went out and bought a "DUMMIES" 
book for FPE.
As it turns out, the book covers FPE 2003 and my programs is older so the
book does not match the program.
So, does anyone out there have FPE 2003 that they want to sell?
Or, is it possible to use MS Word 97 to create the page(s), save them as
HTML and then FTP them to my site?
Or, is there a really simple way to build a non complicated web site - with
some pictures, links and info - ?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
